I stumbled across Andy through a colleague suggesting he would be a great person to answer some of my questions on practice ownership. After answering my first 2 questions, he then arranged a zoom call on the same day and gave me great advice. Dealing with CQC
The CQC is really complicated and changes all the time so you need to seek advice from a team that has a wealth of experience behind them. And depending on whether you are selling an NHS or Private practice, will affect how CQC is dealt with:

A private practice sale will require the principal to de-register and the buyer to register with CQC
An NHS practice sale will require the principal to de-register and then undertake a joint registration with the purchaser
