Chris Strevens
Chris Strevens is co-owner and a Director of Frank Taylor & Associates (FTA), a UK specialist in dental practice valuations and sales. He acquired the firm jointly with Andy Acton in 2000 and is also co-owner and a Director of other companies within the FTA Group: FTA Finance, FTA Financial & Wealth Management. He was one of the founding directors and owners of FTA Law.
As of 2026, Chris has worked in dentistry for 40 years. He has personally carried out more than 2,500 dental practice valuations and been involved in over 6,000 practice sales with a combined value of nearly £3 billion, advising clients across England and Wales.
Chris set up a dedicated dental unit for a Bank of Ireland in 1994 and has since advised other banks entering the dental market. He is a recognised expert in dental practice valuation and finance, writes articles on the sector and has lectured across the UK on topics ranging from practice finance to sales.
Chris co-hosted the Dentology – The Business of Dentistry podcast with Andy Acton, a weekly podcast on the non-clinical side of dentistry, bringing his expertise in practice finance and valuation to more than 200 episodes. Alongside the pair’s own discussions on buying, selling and running a practice, he interviewed leading figures in dentistry such as Raj Rattan, Stephen Hancocks and Miguel Stanley. Outside FTA, Chris is a trustee of Alternatives, a local charity supporting people facing pregnancy-related issues, and an enthusiastic supporter of LIV Village, a South African charity that provides homes and education for orphaned and vulnerable children.

Andy Acton
Andy Acton is a Director and co-owner of Frank Taylor & Associates (FTA), a UK specialist in dental practice valuations and sales, and of the wider FTA Group of businesses serving the dental profession. He acquired FTA jointly with Chris Strevens in 2000 building on the principles the firm was founded on in the late 1980s. Nearly 40 years on, FTA remains the leading valuer and sales agent to the UK dental profession and has carried out well over 10,000 dental practice valuations.
As of 2026, Andy has nearly three decades experience in the dental sector. He has personally overseen more than 8,000 practice valuations and thousands of practice sales, with a combined sale value close to £3 billion, working with clients across throughout England and Wales.
Andy is also a Director and co-owner of FTA Finance, an independent healthcare finance broker and FTA Financial & Wealth Management, which provides specialist financial services to dentists. He was one of the founding directors and owners of FTA Law, and in 2019 he helped create FTA Media, which produces video content for digital marketing.
A regular public speaker, Andy covers leadership, management, marketing and the future value of dental practices.
With Chris Strevens, he co-hosted Dentology – The Business of Dentistry, a weekly podcast on the non-clinical side of dentistry, covering goodwill values, finance, marketing, buying and selling a practice, investment and team management. Oliver Acton
Oliver Acton is a Director of Frank Taylor & Associates (FTA), the UK’s largest specialist dental practice sales and brokerage firm. FTA has sold almost £3 billion worth of dental practices and carried out more than 10,000 practice valuations. He leads FTA’s marketing, business development and technology, including the firm’s use of AI, and has worked in UK dentistry for a decade. Oliver helps dentists buy and sell dental practices across England and Wales, backed by FTA’s network of more than 8,000 registered practice buyers.
Oliver co-directs The Principals Club (TPC), a membership community for UK dental practice owners. TPC reached 1,100 verified practice principals in its first year, with members across the whole of the UK. It runs monthly expert webinars hosted by Oliver, plus in-person events and a paid Inner Circle membership tier. In 2026 he launched The Associates Club for associate dentists, including the Young Dentist Club for dentists in their first three years after qualifying. He also helps lead FTA Finance and FTA’s events programme.
On the technology side, Oliver led the launch of the Frank Taylor & Associates App on the Apple App Store. It lets dentists search and save dental practices for sale across the UK, get alerts on new matches and enquire directly with the FTA team. He is also the driving force behind the Dental Data Vault (DDV), which brings together more than 38 years of UK dental data and over 400,000 data points, sharpened by AI. The Dental Data Vault gives FTA a more data-backed approach to dental practice valuations, with each valuation grounded in like-for-like comparisons against local and national peers.
Oliver founded FTA Media in 2019. Under his direction it has produced more than 1,000 videos and generated millions of views. Its award-winning work has reached Amazon Prime, and its clients range from leading dental groups and professional bodies to international sporting events.

FTA has handled practice sales worth almost £3 billion and completed more than 10,000 valuations. The firm supports dentists buying and selling practices across England and Wales, with access to a database of over 8,000 registered buyers.
Henry has been on the frontline of practice sales for close to a decade and has personally worked on more than 1,000 practice sales and valuations. This has given him a deep understanding of the sales journey, and he has become a trusted advisor to many practice owners. He has guided clients through every stage of a transaction: the initial consultation, marketing the practice, negotiating offers and completing the sale. He began his leadership journey at FTA as a Client Manager Team Leader and has since progressed to his current role as Director.
