Selling a practice is very stressful and the due diligence phase was unbelievable. At times it felt like the whole sale process went on and on, particularly when the solicitors were involved. If I’m honest, it was probably the most stressful thing I’ve ever done.

Thankfully this is not something that I will ever have to do again.

My best tip for anyone starting out on selling their practice would be to allow twice as long as you originally anticipate.
